Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QrVerloz (“QrVerloz”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QrVerloz is a QR code management platform that enables you to:

  • Create and manage dynamic QR codes with editable redirect destinations
  • Track scan analytics including device type, country, browser, and time of scan
  • Customise QR code appearance with brand colours and logos
  • Schedule time-based or date-based redirects
  • Protect QR codes with password access controls
  • Bulk-create QR codes via CSV upload
  • Collaborate with team members (Pro plan)
  • Access QR code data programmatically via the REST API (Starter and Pro plans)

3. User Accounts

To use QrVerloz you must register for an account using a valid email address. We use passwordless magic-link authentication — we will send a sign-in link to your email each time you log in; no password is stored.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may generate API keys to access the Service programmatically. API keys grant the same access level as your account and must be kept confidential. We store only a hashed version of each key.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

QrVerloz offers Free, Starter, and Pro subscription plans. Current plan features, limits, and pricing are listed on the pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. All charges are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content
  • Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam)
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Collect personal data without consent in violation of applicable privacy law
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any rate limits or security measures
  • Resell access to the Service without our written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that disrupts or harms the platform or other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these policies, without notice and without refund.

6. QR Codes and Content

You retain ownership of the URLs, labels, and content you associate with your QR codes. By using the Service you grant QrVerloz a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

Dynamic QR codes created on QrVerloz redirect through our servers. If your account is suspended or terminated, QR codes associated with that account may stop redirecting. We are not liable for any business impact arising from QR codes becoming inactive.

7. Analytics and Data Collection

When a QR code is scanned, QrVerloz automatically records scan event data including: timestamp, approximate geographic location (derived from the scanner's IP address via a GeoIP service), device type, operating system, and browser. This data is attributed to your account and displayed in your analytics dashboard.

You are responsible for disclosing this data collection to end-users where required by applicable law (e.g. GDPR, CCPA). If you use password-protected QR codes, you are also responsible for lawfully handling any data collected at that point of interaction.

8. Intellectual Property

The QrVerloz name, logo, software, and all related materials are the exclusive property of QrVerloz and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QRVERLOZ AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $50 USD.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period following termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
